About the Artist
I am a visual artist from Vallejo CA. I’ve been creating art ever since I can remember. I first realized it was my calling when I was about the age of three and drew a mural on the kitchen wall in crayon. My mother walked by, saw my most recent work and to my surprise, I didn’t get in trouble. I’ve been creating art ever since.
Early on, my fascination with people has greatly influenced my art. I noticed that facial expressions as well as body language said just as much if not more than words. I made it my mission to include those complex emotions and expressions in my paintings.
In 1993 I went into the U.S Air Force and served for four years while stationed at Offutt Air Force Base in Omaha NE. During my time there I did several fine art shows, free-lance artwork for the U.S Air Force as well as for companies in Omaha. After being refused a transfer to a base closer to home, I decided not to re-enlist but to return home to dedicate more time to family and art.
I’m currently working on a new body of work and loving that fact that I have the Bay Area as my backdrop. My artwork has been featured in Art Business News and has been shown throughout the U.S. including Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Chicago and New York.
